About us
This website is run by Resolve My Dispute Limited, trading as Select a Solicitor, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 15182581. Contact: hello@selectasolicitor.com or 020 4520 8641.
What we do
We provide an enquiry and matching service. You tell us about your legal matter and we look for a participating solicitor who handles that type of enquiry. Where there is a suitable match, we pass your enquiry to that firm so they can contact you.
We do not give legal advice
We are not a law firm. Nothing on this website, including suggestions from the optional AI helper, is legal advice. We do not assess the legal merits of your matter. Any legal advice comes from the solicitor you choose to instruct, who is responsible for it.
No guarantee of a match
Matching depends on which participating solicitors are available for your type of matter. We cannot guarantee that your enquiry will be matched, that a firm will contact you, or that a firm will accept instructions. If you have a court date or deadline, do not rely on us to meet it — please contact a solicitor directly if time is short.
Cost
Our service is free to you. Participating solicitors pay us a referral fee. If a solicitor offers to act for you, they will explain their fees, and any agreement to instruct them is between you and that firm. You are under no obligation to proceed.
Your responsibilities
- give information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
- only submit an enquiry on behalf of someone else if you have their permission;
- do not misuse the website, submit false enquiries or try to interfere with how it works.
Our liability
We take care to run the service properly, but we are not responsible for the advice or services provided by any solicitor firm. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Your information
How we handle your personal information is explained in our privacy policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
